Men Who Are Frugal in These Places Often Manage to Save Money

The Art of Thrift: How Being Frugal Can Help Men Save Money

Many people say that a stingy man is not worth marrying, and a man who is obsessed with money is destined to have no future.

However, sometimes it is precisely because of a man’s frugality that he is able to save money. Whether a man should be frugal or not depends on the specific situation.

In some cases, a man’s frugality can actually help him save money.

  1. Not spending too much on personal appearance

I remember a teacher once said, “Women naturally invest in their appearance, but if men also keep investing in their appearance, they will not achieve anything.”

Some women earn money to make themselves more beautiful, and as they become more beautiful, their lives improve. However, men earn money to improve their lives, and it’s best to buy practical things for the family.

Men only need to keep themselves clean and tidy. There’s no need to wear makeup or change clothes three times a day.

Refined women are cherished by men, but if a man is too refined, it can be off-putting. I once attended a classmate’s gathering where one of the friends brought along a male friend. This male friend had heavily drawn eyebrows and was wearing lipstick, which made people uncomfortable.

While many people are open-minded in today’s society, traditional values still prevail. If a man dresses too flamboyantly, many people will find it uncomfortable. This behavior may be acceptable in live streams, but it’s better to avoid it in real life.

A friend once told me, “The reason I divorced my boyfriend was because he was too vain. He was excessively meticulous about his appearance and even sold his car for cosmetic surgery, which led to our breakup.”

Women can be meticulous, but men often end up losing more than they gain by spending on their appearance. Frugal men, who prefer to spend money on essential things, are able to save money.

  1. Not spending money on games

Once, a journalist interviewed a boy who was very good at playing games and asked if he spent money on games. The boy replied, “A real man should not spend money on games and should be frugal. Some expenses in games are unnecessary. I play games well without spending money.”

Many men are addicted to games and constantly spend money on them. Some say they need to buy skins, while others need to purchase equipment, but these expenses are unnecessary.

The virtual world does not require real spending.

In real life, many men are skilled at games but never spend money on them. Some friends might tell these men that they are too stingy and should learn to spend, but only they know why they choose not to spend.

  1. Reluctance to invest in a lover

Some men, after finding a lover, tend to spend money recklessly, leading to financial crises in their families.

Responsible men do not have lovers, and smart men who do have lovers keep their relationships and marriages separate. There was a scene in a TV show where the second male lead had a lover but did not give her any gifts on Valentine’s Day. He only told his wife that he had given her a big bouquet of flowers, an exquisite necklace, clothes, and many handbags.

Men know that spending money on a lover is unnecessary because a lover is ultimately an outsider, simply for their own pleasure. If a lover feels that a man is stingy, it may be because they think he doesn’t have money. In reality, only the man knows why he is frugal with his lover, as sometimes a lover is not worth much in a man’s eyes.

Truly outstanding men do not spend money on their lovers. Sometimes, a lover might ask for a very expensive handbag, which could represent a significant expense for the man’s family. Some lovers are even more selfish and ask for a house or a car. If a man is too generous with his lover, he may end up bankrupt one day.

Men who spend money on their lovers are destined not to save money, while those who are frugal can save.

Therefore, smart men do not spend money on their lovers. Smart women should not be someone else’s lover, but rather someone else’s wife.

  1. Not treating unscrupulous friends

Many people say that the more friends, the better, but it’s important to be aware that the company you keep can influence you. It’s important to be cautious about making friends.

In one’s lifetime, one may encounter some unscrupulous people and may even become friends with them. If these people are unscrupulous, they often like to spend money recklessly.

Last year, my cousin made friends with some unscrupulous people and often went out to eat with them.

Later, when you returned home after the New Year, your cousin’s father fell ill but didn’t have the money for treatment. It was then discovered that your cousin had spent all his money treating these friends.

Unscrupulous people don’t earn money themselves but still want to take advantage of others. When they run out of money, instead of finding a solution, they look to others. By not using their own brains, they try to use someone else’s wallet.

It’s not a mistake to be frugal with unscrupulous friends; it’s a sign of independence.

If you have many unscrupulous friends and often treat them, you will undoubtedly never be able to save money.

Sensible people know who to treat and who not to. Being frugal with unscrupulous people can sometimes help you save money.

Money isn’t everything, but not having it can be a big problem. Some people have high incomes but still can’t save money because they don’t plan their spending well and spend money unnecessarily.

Men care about their image, but sometimes they also need to be frugal in certain situations in order to save money.

It’s important to be able to foresee risks, so it’s best to save some money in case of important events. Being unable to provide money in such situations can leave both oneself and the family feeling powerless, which is unacceptable.
