Four Ways People Respond to Your Messages When They Look Down on You, Stop Boring Yourself

The impact of message replies on relationships and self-worth

There’s a famous poet who once wrote:

“I value you greatly, so I will send you letters.”

In today’s society, sending messages via cellphone has replaced the traditional act of sending letters.

Apart from the content of the messages, one’s attitude in responding to you can also reflect their opinion of you.

Slow Response Time

Recently, I came across a comment that said:

“People who reply to your messages slowly are not worth talking to.”

Sometimes, even if parents reply slowly, we still love them dearly. However, slow responses from others may indicate a lack of interest.

I once had a friend who, despite being poor, was confident and pursued a woman vigorously. At first, she responded well, but her attitude changed when she learned about his financial status.

Smart men know when to persevere and when to let go, especially when faced with disinterest.

Perfunctory Responses

A while back, I had a falling out with a close friend from college. Despite our bond, his perfunctory responses during a time of need left me disappointed.

It’s common to realize that some people, whom we considered friends, never truly valued the friendship.

No Response

A friend of mine shared how her superior at work often ignored her messages, leading her to work harder to earn respect. In such cases, it’s best to focus on self-improvement rather than seeking validation from those who look down on you.

Arrogant Tone

As philosopher Kant stated, “When someone acts arrogantly towards you, they believe they are superior.” Dealing with such arrogance is unnecessary and can be detrimental to one’s well-being.

Remember, it’s better to avoid unnecessary conversations with people who exhibit disrespectful behavior.
